Port Authority officials said that the New York Police Department's Habor Patrol recovered the body at about 9:40 a.m., and confirmed that the victim had jumped, the outlet wrote.  The victim was then pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, though their identity was not reported. The Saratoga County wreck happened at around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the town of Milton. Sheriff’s officials said Nicole Deyo, age 41, was driving westbound on Galway Road when she ran a stop sign at Middle Line Road and struck another car already in the intersection. She then collided with a Saratoga County Department of Public Works plow truck that was waiting to go eastbound. Following the crash, Deyo allegedly tried fleeing the scene and rolled her car in the process.

Ruth Noemi Bermudez-Chavez was fatally struck by a vehicle on Sunday, Feb. 5, in the 13600 block of Georgia Avenue near Hewitt Avenue, according to Montgomery County Police. Officers responded to the crash shortly after 7:30 p.m., where they pronounced Bermudez-Chavez dead on the scene. Police say that Bermudez-Chavez was struck by a northbound blue 2002 Ford Taurus.  The driver of the Ford stayed on the scene after the collision, police noted.

Oscar Morocho-Morocho, age 31, of Shirley, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Nov. 20, in the death of 34-year-old Ruth Para-Martinez. The woman was found beaten to death in Shirley, outside the Gr8skates skating rink on The Green, early Monday, May 8, according to Suffolk County Police. Prosecutors said she and Morocho-Morocho got into a fight the night before. Surveillance video captured him punching, kicking, and dragging Para-Martinez before leaving her motionless body on the ground.

Steven Zografos was riding in in Windham County, in the town of Thompson, on Saturday, Dec. 23, when he crashed with another dirt bike rider just before 4 p.m., NBC Connecticut reported. He died at the scene.  A 21-year-old was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to an area hospital. He is expected to survive, the report said. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.  A GoFundMe was created to help support the Zografos family and cover the cost of Steven's funeral.
