Emergency crews were called to the couple’s Lindenhurst residence on South 14th Street at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, for a stabbing. Suffolk County Police said officers found 38-year-old Wioleta Murawski outside the home suffering from stab wounds. She was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where she was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation found that her husband, 44-year-old Ryszard Murawski, was the perpetrator, according to police.

Christopher Sakowicz, 18, and Vincent Keller, 18, both of Stratford, were arrested on Monday, April 22, in connection with the vandalism and fire that occurred on Sunday, March 24, at Silver Sands State Park in Milford, said the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (EnCon) Environmental Conservation Police. The investigation leading to the arrests was conducted with the assistance of the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney, Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, Milford Police, and Stratford Police.

Multiple people called 911 shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, reporting gunshots at a Schenectady home on State Street near Grove Place, according to Schenectady Police.
