DC resident Ronald P. Berton, 48, will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being sentenced to life without the possible release, plus 27 years for a June 2010 home invasion and sexual assault. Additionally, a judge gave him a second life sentence without the possibility of release for an October 2007 home invasion and sexual assault of a second woman.
Berton’s downfall came during an investigation into the 2010 sexual assault.

Cleve W. Bryan Jr. was charged Wednesday, Oct. 18 by police in Washington Township, Gloucester County with endangering the welfare of children by possessing child pornography, the department said.

CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — Insomniac, the producer of electronic dance music events and festivals, is teaming with Chicago-based Auris Presents to bring the Beyond Wonderland festival to Chicago for the first time.
Set for June 1st and 2nd, the two-day electronic music festival will take place at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island with a full slate of music across four stages, including the Queen’s Domain, Mad Hatter’s Castle, Caterpillar’s Garden, and Cheshire Woods.
Pawel Dabrowski of Shelton was arrested on Friday, Aug. 16, following an investigation into the abuse of a teenager which began when the girl was 10-years-old, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango.
Dabrowski was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.
He was arraigned in Derby Superior court and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

A man was crossing Route 112 eastbound, south of Rose Avenue, when he was struck by an unknown SUV heading southbound on Route 112 that fled the scene, Suffolk County Police said.
The man was then struck by a second southbound vehicle that remained at the scene, according to police.
The victim, identified as Peter Williams, age 47, of Terryville.
The 35-year-old victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 with what responders at the time said were life-threatening injuries.
The victim has been stabbed in the abdomen at a home on Gerome Avenue and Hoym Street across from Public School No. 1, they said.
Freddy Pina surrendered at police headquarters, Deputy Police Chief Edward Young said. He was treated at a local hospital for a hand injury and then returned to headquarters to be booked, the deputy chief said.
